Hotdesking
Freedom for your users to roam around your organisation and move thier phone services and numbers with them
Hot Desking, sometimes referred to as Hotelling, provides users
with the ability to associate their existing account, telephone
number, features and settings with another 'Host' device (handset)
for a controlled period of time. It allows the Hot Desking users to
then make and receive calls and manage all of their features from a
temporary device that they associate with. For example, a remote or
mobile worker may use a hot desk phone whilst visiting a main or
branch office and all outbound calls will present their actual
CLI (telephone number).
Hot Desking is different to 'Find Me
Follow Me' and 'Forwarding' service which simply redirects a user's
calls to another user's phone. With IPVS Hot Desking the user takes
total control of another phone, applies their setting and makes and
receives calls with their actual CLI.

Features
There are two licenses that are
required to run Hot Desking; Hot Desking Host and Hot Desking
Guest.
Hot Desking Host
The Hot Desking
Host feature allows user devices to be designated and configured as
Hot Desking Host phones. This could be a brand new device,
dedicated for Hot Desking and located in a flexible work area.
Alternatively any existing users, who are perhaps not always in the
office, can have their phones activated as Hot Desking Hosts.
Configuration options provide the ability to set a time limit on
how long a Hot Desking Guest User can associate their profile with
a host phone.
Hot Desking Guest
The Hot Desking
Guest feature allows users to associate their service profile with
Hot Desking Host phones. This allows the Guest User to use the
host's device with the guest user's telephone number, features and
settings. Configuration options provide the ability for Guest Users
to automatically disassociate with a host phone after a set period
of time.
