The Internet Central team is made up of experienced IT, Telecoms and Internet professionals covering a full spectrum of expertise.

Sales & Admin Team

Maitland Hyslop
Managing Director of Internet Central Limited, a subsidiary of Goodwin plc.

Maitland is also Chairman of Stoke and Staffordshire Local Economic Partnership. 

He has held senior positions in the NHS, where he was a member of the top leadership cadre; as Chief Operating Officer of the Onyx Group and Managing Director of Campbell Lee plc; and as Chief Executive of a Scottish Economic Development Agency. He was Director of the EC's acclaimed eJustice project. He has also held public sector economic development and IT roles; and private sector management and business development roles in the oil, gas, engineering, computing, network security and packaging sectors.

He is an affiliate of Northumbria University's Disaster and Development Centre, where he is also a PhD student. He is the author of Springer's 'Critical Information Infrastructure: Resilience and Protection', five other books, and over 50 published articles.

Phill Thorley
Sales Manager

Phill has considerable IT and Telecoms expertise gained over 20 years, working with companies such as Cable and Wireless.  In Phill's role as Head of IC Sales he focuses on developing sales for the company's main product portfolio areas of business broadband and internet connections, internet hosting, telecoms, IT security and Specialist Services. 

Phill is also keen on developing the company's philosophy of quality customer care and having seen the company invest in the architecture of the business areas, using global brands and developing key IT solutions he wants to move the company to the next level, engaging further with customers and developing key relationships that are customer focused.

Specialist in Lines, Calls & Mobile.

Kleon started his Career with one of Staffordshire's leading Mobile phone suppliers, this gave him a great boot camp mentality for Sales, he has enjoyed great success in Mobile /Recruitment / IT / Marketing. Along the way Kleon has picked up numerous awards ranging from Sales person of the year (2006) and Best newcomer (2003).

Kleon joined Internet Central to front the Calls and Lines / IPVS Sales department and to expand our current market share.

Mark Simcoe

Technical Director & Founder

Mark founded IC in 1995 before the Internet was readily available within the UK. Originally trained in Wyse multiuser terminal networks, DSC Ethernet networking, Appletalk & SageLAN, with various skills added over the years including most leading names (too many to mention). Mark has a wealth of knowledge in communications networks from the early days right through the ages, and is responsible for product and service development - using his knowledge to help predict the future trends and requirements of customers, and advance IC's offerings into the markets.

Having started his career developing internet applications Darren has spent the last 7 years specialising on IP communications systems with Internet Central.

Darren's background and expertise spans networking, website development, IP based communications (including voice & video), database systems, data mining & information manipulation, order processing systems and traditional PSTN lines (analogue & ISDN).  He also works with our clients to help identify specific their detailed requirements to develop a complete solution with them which targets the customers business requirements, and ensures synergy with the clients business plan and financial budgets.

As a qualified trainer for Cisco with 15 years in data security, Bill has brought invaluable experience to his 8 years with Internet Central. With qualifications from Cisco, Fortinet, StoneSoft and Cidway he is able to design, implement and support SME's in keeping their data networks safe. All though he would rather be back in the Caribbean he enjoys his work with Internet Central's many security customers.

Dave Brewis

VMWare, Stonesoft and IP Voice Services Specialist (VCP, VTSP, VSP, SGFWA

Starting with Internet Central straight out of college, David has learnt on the job whilst obtaining further certifications, including FD in Computing, VMware and StoneGate. 

Specialising on support in the ic-talk IP Voice Services product keeps him busy keeping up to date with new products, enhancements and customer requirements.  In addition he provides assistance on the hosting platform from domains and ssls to colo and virtual setups.

David also trains as a first aider.

Fortinet, Stonesoft & Cisco Services Specialist (CompTIA A+/N+/FCESP/CCENT/CCNA)

Wayne currently leads email security at Internet Central incorporating spam and antivirus protection for a large number of clients. Having a background in networking Wayne also specialises in Cisco, Netgear, Draytek and Fortinet network Layer2 and Layer3 devices, security, VLANS and Routing.

Other skills include Linux/Unix, Windows, DNS, Domains, Email, ADSL, ADSL2+, Etherflow and advanced technical support

 

Pathini Fernando

Software Engineer

eCommerce website and Applications Development.

Pathini has a wealth of experience in developing Web applications, Windows applications, Windows console applications, Web Services, internal order provisioning systems including reporting tools using VB.net, c#, MS SQL databases and My SQL databases.

Pathini has developed eCommerce applications with online shopping carts also has in-depth knowledge on Microsoft dynamics CRM 4 customisations and deployments. She has good software engineering skills on project management, database design, implementation, testing and project documentations.
