Jonathan Edge

Jonathan Edge
Operations Director

Jonathan joined IC as operations director in May 2012.  He has a wide and deep knowledge of IT from older systems right up to building cutting edge networking and virtual cloud infrastructures. He has been involved in networking and mangement for many years.  He has designed, delivered and run large networks, he has also designed, developed and operated datacentres.  He is a strong advocate of standards and ITIL within the organisation.  He has experience in a variety of arenas both in public and private sectors.

Mark Simcoe

Mark founded IC in 1995 before the Internet was readily available within the UK. Originally trained in Wyse multiuser terminal networks, DSC Ethernet networking, Appletalk & SageLAN, with various skills added over the years including most leading names (too many to mention). Mark has a wealth of knowledge in communications networks from the early days right through the ages, and is responsible for product and service development - using his knowledge to help predict the future trends and requirements of customers, and advance IC's offerings into the markets.

Darren Wheeler

Having started his career developing internet applications Darren has spent the last 7 years specialising on IP communications systems with Internet Central.

Darren's background and expertise spans networking, website development, IP based communications (including voice & video), database systems, data mining & information manipulation, order processing systems and traditional PSTN lines (analogue & ISDN).  He also works with our clients to help identify specific their detailed requirements to develop a complete solution with them which targets the customers business requirements, and ensures synergy with the clients business plan and financial budgets.

Phill Thorley

Phill Thorley
Sales Manager

Phill has considerable IT and Telecoms expertise gained over 20 years, working with companies such as Cable and Wireless.  In Phill's role as Head of IC Sales he focuses on developing sales for the company's main product portfolio areas of business broadband and internet connections, internet hosting, telecoms, IT security and Specialist Services. 

Phill is also keen on developing the company's philosophy of quality customer care and having seen the company invest in the architecture of the business areas, using global brands and developing key IT solutions he wants to move the company to the next level, engaging further with customers and developing key relationships that are customer focused.

With over 8 years of experience, Marie is a highly motivated management professional with background knowledge of sales leadership, new business acquisition, training, motivating and driving a team to achieve company targets, delivery of sales strategy and managing and development of account relationships. Specialising in Mobile voice, fixed line and data solutions, including but not limited to Cloud applications and telephony solutions.

eCommerce website and Applications Development.

Pathini has a wealth of experience in developing Web applications, Windows applications, Windows console applications, Web Services, internal order provisioning systems including reporting tools using VB.net, c#, MS SQL databases and My SQL databases.

Pathini has developed eCommerce applications with online shopping carts also has in-depth knowledge on Microsoft dynamics CRM 2011 customisations and deployments. She has good software engineering skills on project management, database design, implementation, testing and project documentations.

VMWare, Stonesoft and IP Voice Services Specialist (VCP, VTSP, VSP, SGFWA

Starting with Internet Central straight out of college, David has learnt on the job whilst obtaining further certifications, including FD in Computing, VMware and StoneGate. 

Specialising on support in the ic-talk IP Voice Services product keeps him busy keeping up to date with new products, enhancements and customer requirements.  In addition he provides assistance on the hosting platform from domains and ssls to colo and virtual setups.

David also trains as a first aider.


Wayne Coulthard
Technical Support and Internal Systems Administrator

Fortinet,Stonesoft & Cisco Services Specialist (CompTIA A+ / N+ / FCESP / CCENT / CCNA)

Waynecurrently leads security at Internet Central incorporating spam, antivirus and network protection for a large number of clients.  Having a background in
networking Wayne also specialises in Cisco, Netgear, Stonesoft, Draytek and
Fortinet network layer2 and layer3 devices, security, VLANS and routing.

Wayne also helps in the day to day running of internal systems.Other skills include Linux/Unix, Windows, DNS, Domains, Email, ADSL, ADSL2+,Etherflow and advanced technical support.

Junior Support Engineer

Becki joined IC as an apprentice with Leek College.  She completed the studies with distinction in record time.  She was fast tracked into full time employment.  Becki has a passion for excellence of customer support which is combined with a dedication to learning and mastering new skills and technologies.



Adam Reynolds

Adam is one of our most recent apprentices, amongst other things, he has a detailed knowledge of the intracacies of Broadband delivery. Keen to help, he often recieves compliments from customers.

Matt Kent

Matthew Kent

Matthew is our latest new face as our 'man on the ground' he can assist with any physical installation requirements as well as our Harmony Voice and Video products.

Joel Potts

Management Accountant

Andy joined IC in 2014 and is an ACCA qualified accountant with over 12 years experience. 

Having spent the early part of his career in accountancy practice Andy made the move into industry, gaining 6 years of experience working for both manufacturing and logistics companies.


Steven Maddox

Steven Maddox

Steven is allegedly both an open source evangelist (according to Darren) and a Windows ambassador (according to Jonathan).

Neither is in fact correct.  

Steven is a Systems Engineer with about 15+ years of both Windows and Linux experience, 7+ years experience in VoIP and networking in general and a BEng in Software Engineering.
